The work before the build
New joiners need to provide personal, tax and other relevant details and documents. Passing spreadsheets between people creates repeated handling. Each client needed a form shaped around its requirements rather than a single generic questionnaire.
What we built
We built custom starter forms for each business. Our Playful implementation includes employee and self-employed question paths, a P45 attachment path, production-specific invitations and an office view of completion status. These details describe that implementation; individual clients have different scopes.
Where the value sits
The form brings the required information together for the next review. Staff can see progress and follow up on missing items. Collecting information does not itself verify employment eligibility, calculate tax or authorise payroll.
A starting point for connected work
Once a team has a clear record of starter details, it can consider reusing the relevant information for contract and payroll preparation. Those connections are agreed as additional scope rather than assumed to be part of every form.
